To test the driver and remove the need for a computer restart use: I got it working. Following those instructions, I found that I needed to install a package called “linux-firmware-nonfree”, followed by a reboot.

The first is the firmware-b43legacy-installer package. Broadcom devices are a bit of a nightmare because Broadcom offers no official Linux support which is why I try to use RaLink devicesand the Windows drivers have to be reverse engineered.
