Afer a while, I finally got my mobo to recognize the hard drive in the bios. Disable the onboard if you want and install the drivers for the PCI card

So I understand in summary your saying the SATA controller on my mainboard is there strictly for a secondary drive and cannot be used to connect a SATA drive for use as a boot device.
The primary is an ATA drive. Please remember to be considerate of other members. Also, i don’t know exactly where the driver would be in the device manager, but i searched and didn’t recognize it there.
I can be taught. When the OS has pre-loaded into memory and requests a setup specification, choose a Gb partition size for the primary partition. Intec’s site saya a lot of upgrades since my version, but i’m just a trial and error idiot, so i’m guessing that’d be a mistake. Anyway, thanks for helping if you could. Driver installation wasn’t on the cd menu and the floppy with the drivers would just say that the disc wasn’t formatted when i accessed it.
